Servilles Academy is Australasia’s leading and most award-winning Hairdressing, Barbering and Makeup academy. Now located in a contemporary and sustainable building, just off Upper Queen Street.
Alongside it’s highly successful Hairdressing programmes, the academy also offers Barbering and Makeup courses. Servilles Academy’s commitment to quality education can be recognised by the NZQA’s award as Category 1 Provider for the past several years and the success of our graduates.
Makeup:Alongside the New Zealand Certificate in Makeup and Skincare (Level 3), due to the growing demand in the beauty industry, Servilles Academy now offer the New Zealand Certificate in Makeup Artistry (Level 4).
This new course builds upon the Level 3 qualification and provides a deeper knowledge of makeup, in addition to giving students the skills needed to freelance in a range of environments and create their own, successful beauty business. The Academy uses MAC Cosmetics for all Makeup students, to create the ultimate student kit.
Barbering:Commitment to excellence and innovation includes ensuring our graduates are trained expertly in all aspects of their chosen craft. Students enrolled in our New Zealand Certificate in Barber Skills (Level 3) course will learn how to create all the latest styles, as well as the classics, securing long and successful careers.
Graduates from this course will stand out to employers in the in-demand Barbering industry.
Hairdressing:Hairdressing is at the heart of the Servilles company, offering New Zealand Certificate in Hairdressing – Salon Support (Level 3) and the New Zealand Certificate in Hairdressing – Emerging Stylist (Level 4).
Drawing on 40 years’ experience from founder Paul Serville and other industry leaders, our students are constantly surrounded by innovation, knowledge and learning opportunities which will prepare them for a successful career in the world of Hairdressing.
Youth Programmes: Our YG programme gives 16-19 year old students the opportunity to Study for free and gain the New Zealand Certificate in Salon Skills (Introductory) (Level 2). This course provides students with the basic knowledge for entry into the workforce or take their learning further by completing one of our Level 3 qualifications.
